Driveway Gates
Yarra Valley Gates offers country style driveway gates in steel and aluminium, custom made to your specific design, size and colour. All driveway gates are made using quality materials along with a high level of welding workmanship, manufactured right here in Melbourne Victoria.
Our steel and aluminium gates are an alternative to timber gates with no added maintenance. They are longer-lasting, durable and easy to keep clean. Due to their weight, these types of driveway gates need the appropriate hardware in order to operate effectively. Therefore our entrance gates are fitted with heavy duty hardware and adjustable hinges. However we do need to take into consideration if there are already suitable gate posts, is there a slope on the driveway and is it for a swing gate or sliding gate version.
Yarra Valley Gates can also manufacture gates to a client’s own design. So please do not hesitate to send us a photo or sketch of driveway gates you have in mind by contacting us.

The gates are made from sustainable timber resources in the UK and are compliant with international PEFC standards, perfect for Australia’s climate. See sample gate images below.
Caring for your gate will extend its lifespan:
At the time of fitting your gate, it is essential to apply two coats of a micro-porous, moisture vapour permeable (allowing the timber to breathe) decorative stain or paint, over the entire gate. Pay particular attention to the end grains, especially on the underside of the gate.
Any gate that is supplied untreated must be treated within a week of installation to comply with guarantee. We recommend treating your gate at least once a year.
Recommended treatments are Sikkens Cetol HLS & Filter 7. These products are generally available at major Australian hardware retailers.

Somerset gates are available in the following sizes only 14ft, 12ft, 9ft, 6ft and 3ft
Estate gates are available in the following sizes only 12ft, 9ft, 8ft, 7ft and 6ft

Heritage Gates
A traditional cast jointed (‘cast iron’ style) Sunshine McKay heritage gates. These gates are made individually to order, hot forged in the traditional way to last a lifetime.
Please Note: These traditional Sunshine heritage gates are not a Lynx manufactured gate therefore only available to order with gate automation or/and our post and rail fencing at time of construction.

The sunshine gates have been previously approved by various councils and used in heritage listed properties throughout Australia.
Pictured is the sunshine heritage gates which has been finished in matt black to resemble the traditional wrought iron look, ideally suited with our post and rail fences.
Farm Gates
We offer custom made farm gates to suit your garden, driveway entrance or paddock. From simply style farm gates to a decorative farm gate, custom made to your specific design, colour and size.
The gates pictured are commonly used for many of our projects and available in various sizes and styles. The decorative gate with scrolls is commonly used for garden gates, driveway gates or a pedestrian gate. These can be custom made to accommodate the slope of the land to eliminate any gaps. This is ideal when containing smaller animals.
Please note we only supply these type of gates with our fences or gate automation installs.
